A lawmaker from Kano state, Abubakar Kuki, now has his fate hanging as his constituents have written to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) concerning their plan to recall him.
The planned recall of Kuki, who is a member of the Kano state House of Assembly, follows the success so far recorded by the people of Kogi West in their move to send Senator Dino Melaye away from the National Assembly.

NAIJ.com reports that INEC has confirmed receiving the petition against Kuki.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quoted Mr Adedeji Soyebi, the national commissioner and chairman in charge of information and voter education committee of INEC as making the confirmation in Abuja.
According to Soyebi, the petition emanated from the lawmaker’s constituents in Bebeji area.
“A timetable and schedule of activities pursuant to the petition will be issued shortly,” Soyebi said.
NAIJ.com recently reported the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as saying it would halt the process of recalling Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west in the Senate.
The report stated that a national commissioner of the commission Adedeji Soyebi, who disclosed this on Thursday July 13, said the decision was in line with a court ruling.
