President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting with leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as those of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The president met with the leaders of the two main parties on Friday, August 25 at the Presidential Villa.

Senator Ahmed Makarfi led the delegation from the opposition party to the meeting which was also confirmed by the president's aide.

The leaders of the opposition party arrived by 12:25 where they proceeded to the meeting with the president.
NAIJ.com had reported that President Buhari will discuss the spending of the Paris Club refund by states with governors as well as the agitation for restructuring.
The issue of the release of the last tranche of the Paris Club refund believed to be N200billion will also be discussed as well as the issue of security of the nation.
A source at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) said state chief executives have been notified of the meeting.
The source said: “I can confirm to you that the meeting will hold on Friday and the state chief executives have been notified."
