- A group of youths in the north have warned politicians from the region ahead of 2019 elections
- They accused some of them of working against President Muhammadu Buhari
- The youths reminded those sabotaging Buhari's administration that they would be paid back in 2019
Members of the Conference of Patriotic Nigerians have promised northern politicians who worked against President Muhamamdu Buhari when he travelled for medical trip of consequences.
The Sun reports that the group in a letter to President Buhari during the north-west special prayer, said it was patiently waiting for 2019 when it would deal with politicians who were sabotaging the Buhari government.

Ambassador Ibrahim Waiye who is the secretary-general of the conference presented their position letter yesterday in Kano to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to be forwarded to the president.
They expressed disappointment at the backstabbing of some politicians who rode to their positions on the back of Buhari’s popularity and had now turned against him.
“Let not those governors forget that every move they make is being monitored by Nigerians. They should not forget that the date of reckoning is around the corner,” the group stated.
Governor Ganduje expressed gratitude to God for the safe return of the president.
He noted that the president was already delivering on his campaign promises especially in the area of fighting corruption.

He also placed a curse on politicians who were backstabbing the president.
He saluted the members of the Conference of Patriotic Nigerians as well as the Imams and clergy for organizing and participating in the prayers and the solidarity walk for President Buhari.
Meanwhile, there is palpable anxiety in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following the rumoured defection of Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano state, to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It was learnt that the PDP had been speaking with Kwankwaso to return to its fold and were anxiously waiting for his next move.
