- Manchester City feel they can sign Alexis Sanchez if they table an offer of £50m
- The 28-year-old has just one year left on his current deal at the Emirates stadium
- Arsene Wenger has already told clubs that he would not be selling his attacker
Manchester City will make a bid in excess of £50m for Alexis Sanchez despite Arsene Wenger's claims the player will not be sold.
According to the Mirror UK, Pep Guardiola's side feel they can force the Gunners to sell the Chile star whose contract expires in the summer of 2018.
Arsene Wenger always said his star player is not for sale and club insiders say they are confident he will remain till the end of the season and sign a new contract along the way.

Arsenal are also confident now that Sanchez will stay for the final year of his contract - and have not given up on him signing a new deal.
City however are not going to be discouraged to try and sign the player they have admired for a while longside Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea although interest from the latter three has gone cold.
Sanchez wants Arsenal to pay him something close to £400,000-a-week and City would also be confident of being able to give him a bigger contract than Arsenal.
