German professional football star Mesut Ozil has signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal to stay at Emirates Stadium until the year 2021.
The new deal Mesut Ozil signed on Wednesday afternoon, January 31 however brought to an end the speculations of him joining Paris-Saint-Germain or Manchester United.
But the 29-year-old is now the Gunners' highest paid player in history with £350,000 a week before tax according to BBC.

Ozil has made 21 appearances this term for the North London club scoring four goals and recording six assists, and his new deal commits him to the Premier League club until he is 32.
He joined Arsenal in the year 2013 from Spanish and European League champions Real Madrid.
This latest development is expected to be a good news for all Arsenal fans who are currently celebrating the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Previously, NAIJ.com had reported how Premier League giants Arsenal finally confirmed the signing of Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from German club Borussia Dortmund.
The big African striker has been linked with a move to the Emirates all month and the club have now confirmed his capture on Wednesday afternoon, January 31.
He completed a medical on Wednesday morning, January 31 and agreed personal terms with the club with his wages set to be worth £180,000-a-week.
