It was one of the major South-South cities in the map of the Biafra agitators, which was the last to be conquered during the 1967-1970 civil war.
The former NIA boss speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt said: “From time-to-time the issue of Port Harcourt has been an object of agitation.
“Port Harcourt was one of the issues the so-called Biafra demanded and this matter was discussed in Kampala.
“I don’t know why people are worried about Biafra and want to resurrect and create tension which is totally unnecessary. Everybody has a right to agitate, but to agitate on somebody else’s territory is wrong.”
NAIJ.com previously reported that some prominent leaders in Kogi, Benue and Rivers state have strongly rejected the plan by leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, to extend his proposed Biafra Republic to their states.
In Kogi, the Igala Socio-Cultural Group, expressed extreme repugnance over their reported inclusion in Biafra.

Speaking on the issue, a spokesman of the group, Barry Moses Idakwo, noted that the inclusion has made nonsense of the ancient Igala nation.
